For Kane County Board District 9, Republican: Mitchell

Jim Mitchell deserves the Republican nod for another term on the Kane County Board. In the District 9 Republican primary, he faces challenger Lee Jacobson. Mitchell, a board member for 19 years, says this would be his last term. Mitchell's institutional knowledge will be an asset in what will be fiscally challenging years.

Mitchell is focused on the budgeting process and believes a zero-based budgeting system would force departments to justify the way money is spent.

Challenging Mitchell in the February primary is North Aurora resident Lee Jacobson. Jacobson did not make himself available for an endorsement interview, despite several attempts.
