Wojnicki, Mitchell for county board

Transparency is the key when it comes to citizen oversight of government. Publication of expenditures on the Internet enables citizens to have an understanding of where tax dollars are spent.

Another important element of transparency is the presentation of issues and the questioning of ideas by enlightened officials. Citizens of Kane County are fortunate to have a couple of board members who understand the issues and question the financial impact of board decisions. Barb Wojnicki (District 15) and Jim Mitchell (District 9) are these cost-conscious board members who merit the support of their constituents in the Republican primary Tuesday, Feb. 2.
