Pay back China; be America again

Normally I am not the one to pick up the newspaper. I have seen for years the bias that newspapers have portrayed. However, once in a blue moon I'll look it over to see if anything has changed.

One article worth a mention, is one that I have been saying for a long, long time. It was in the Opinion section titled: “Can we finally break the China habit?” In my opinion this young lady's view is spot on! Our politicians will not offend the enemy for fear that they will turn off their money faucet.

We as Americans must hold our political leaders accountable. They have put us in this mess, and they must use their heads to spend less, stop having extravagant parties and figure out a way to build the manufacturing base (and not with bailouts!) in the United States so we can pay back the debt to China. Instead, our elected officials seem to be more interested in their re-election campaigns than the problems at hand. You may have noticed that I have not singled any one party out. They are all to blame! It seems that Washington has been the “Houdini Capital” for a long time, smoke and mirrors, diversionary tactics, and bills that have hidden laws and policies in them. Just because we elected a new bunch to Washington in the last election, it means nothing if they continue to destroy our country.

It is my opinion that before the new session of Congress convenes, they go out and get a copy of “Mr. Smith Goes To Washington” and a pocket copy of “The Declaration of Independence.” Over the next few days, I invite all Americans to do the same.

I look forward to the day we can tell China and the rest of the world that we are Americans and we will not change our ways to please the European community, the U.N. or any other place on this earth.
