Animals treated better than babies?

A female kennel owner, after four hours of jury deliberations, was convicted on all charges, according to the Daily Herald news article of Sept. 9. She faces up to five years in prison for “felony animal torture and aggravated cruelty to animals.”

Are animals more important in our society now than human babies in the womb? Babies, unborn yet, but already able to feel excruciating pain are tortured daily in abortion clinics in our United States. Why has the common sense of the leadership of our nation gone awry in permitting this horrible situation of allowing women, girls and sometimes the responsible man who illegally forces an abortion to be performed?

Polls show a majority of U.S. citizens are pro-life. Congress should take note and act accordingly.
