Property tax assessment, appeals to be focus of seminar

Property owners are encouraged to attend an educational seminar with Cook County Board of (Tax) Review Commissioner Dan Patlak and representatives from the Cook County Assessor’s Office at 7 p.m. Monday, March 21, at the Cook County Farm Bureau, 6438 Joliet Road in Countryside.

Representatives from the assessor’s office will discuss the property tax assessment process and appeals handled by their office. Commissioner Patlak will discuss the Board of Review appeals process and have staff on hand to address specific questions. Representatives from the Illinois Farm Bureau will discuss municipal regulations, annexation and quick take.

The seminar is open to the public and will be held in the conference room at the Cook County Farm Bureau building. Individuals interested in attending are encouraged to call (708) 354-3276 to reserve their spot. The seminar is free to attend.
