Des Plaines Community Foundation Presents $5,000 Check to Elk Grove Township Food Pantry

Rosemary Argus, Executive Director of the Des Plaines Community Foundation, recently presented a $5,000 check to Elk Grove Township Officials for food supplies for the Elk Grove Township Food Pantry.

The Food Pantry services Des Plaines residents, approximately 150 families, living west of Mt. Prospect Road within the Elk Grove Township boundary. Des Plaines Mayor Martin J. Moylan was on hand as the check was presented at the Elk Grove Township Food Pantry.

The Elk Grove Township Food Pantry will graciously accept non-perishable food items. Items may be dropped off 9 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday – Friday, at the Elk Grove Township Hall, 2400 S. Arlington Heights Road.

In addition to helping assure food needs are met, the Des Plaines Community Foundation assists with transportation needs, housework, snow shoveling, home repair and yard work for the elderly and disabled.
