Woman shot to death in Aurora

A 46-year-old woman was killed in a shooting Saturday in Aurora.
Police announced the death on Tuesday afternoon but did not give the name or hometown of the victim.
The shooting happened around 4:49 p.m. at Prairie Street and Woodlawn Avenue.
Police found the victim in a crashed vehicle. She was pronounced dead a short time later at a hospital, according to a news release.
Authorities said they would not release her name until after an autopsy planned for Wednesday.
