Friends of the Arlington Heights Memorial Library Winter Children’s Sale, Feb 3-4

The Friends of the Arlington Heights Memorial Library will host its Winter Children’s Sale Saturday and Sunday, Feb 3-4. The Children’s sale includes fiction for kids and teens, non-fiction, EZ readers, board books, DVDs, CDs, audiobooks, puzzles and games; there will be no computer games.

Friday, Feb. 2, is Member’s Night; members may shop on Friday from 6-8 p.m. Individuals and families can join the Friends at www.ahml.info/friends or become members at the door on Friday.

The sale is open to the general public from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 3 and from noon to 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 4. The sale is held in the Cardinal Room at the Arlington Heights Memorial Library, 500 N. Dunton, Arlington Heights, near the Dunton Avenue entrance.

Most children’s books are 50 cents. Most children’s AV materials are $1, or as priced. There is a 25% teacher discount for teachers with a valid ID on Friday and Saturday. There is also an $8 bag sale for regular children’s sale items on Sunday (no teacher discount on bag sales).

Outside the Cardinal Room, there will be best-quality items at our Children’s Buy-It-Now table (no teacher discount on kids Buy-It-Now items). There will also be a selection of $1 adult fiction and nonfiction on carts outside the Cardinal room. The Friends Used Book Shop, near the stairs, also will be open with most items at $1.

The Friends accept cash, checks, credit cards and PayPal. No scanning or use of electronics is permitted in FOL sale areas. Sales proceeds are given to the library to support programs, exhibits, equipment and more.

Future 2024 Friends Adult and Children’s Used Book Sales will be on April 13-14, Aug. 3-4, and Nov. 9-10.
