Higher costs, lower service

First-class postage in 1924 cost 2 cents. First-class postage in 2024 now costs 86 cents. Unfortunately postal delivery service has reversed direction. On Jan. 5, I finally received in Mount Prospect a bank statement that was mailed Dec. 10, 2023, from Rosemont. It took almost a full month to travel less than 10 miles. What are we paying for? As with many things today, higher cost and less service.
