Desire missing to focus on better values
It has been reported that cannabis sales continue to rise and sports betting is reaching new levels every year, while at the same time church attendance is declining.
While church attendance alone may not be a good proxy for measuring the health of a society, it certainly does indicate where our values lie. Given these current trends, is it surprising that crime is rampant in many cities and suicides continue to increase every year.
The real question is how do we change these trends? Before that can happen there must be a desire to change and at the present time that desire does not appear to be prevalent - unfortunate, but true.
