Green Bay amusement park to install 3 new rides
GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) - An amusement park in northeast Wisconsin will add three new rides over the next two years after receiving a private donation worth more than $1 million.
Bay Beach Amusement Park in Green Bay is expected to install two parent-child rides this year and a larger ride designed for older kids next year. The Green Bay Park Committee voted Wednesday night to accept the donation of the rides from Friends of Bay Beach.
City officials hope the new rides will bring $1.1 million in revenue throughout the first five years of operation.
The park also plans to use $631,000 to install a second train ride and make other upgrades.
The city says 6.8 million ride tickets were sold at the park last year.
