Sign up now for 13th annual Bags for Wags fundraiser on Feb. 10

The Brian E. Wagner Scholarship Fund will host the 13th annual Bags for Wags Tournament on Saturday, Feb. 10, 2024.

The charitable event will take place from 5 to 10 p.m. at Visitation’s Valentino Center, 851 S. York Road in Elmhurst.

Participants age 16 and older are welcome to play in the bean bags competition. Celebrate and socialize with the community for a worthy cause the night prior to the football bowl game.

Raffle prizes and a silent auction will be awarded to lucky attendees. Items will include gift cards from popular restaurants/retail stores, merchandise/memorabilia from Chicago sports teams and museums.

Space is limited and event will likely sell out. Reserve as soon as possible for your chance to become champions at the 2024 Bags for Wags Bean Bags Tournament.

All proceeds will benefit the Brian E. Wagner Scholarship Fund, which was founded in memory of Brian Edwin Wagner whose untimely passing came at age 16 in 1993. He was the fatal passenger in a tragic auto accident.

Through the organization’s effort, scholarship funds are being raised to recognize local high school students planning to attend college this Fall.

Finalists will be selected from young leaders who have exercised sound judgment; and committed themselves to volunteer programs which have made a positive impact in their lives and the lives of others.

The committee offers their gratitude to the support of local communities and establishments who continue to open doors for young scholars who are focused on making a difference in society.

Brian E. Wagner’s legacy continues to shine through their integrity and determination. Students who have received the scholarship were honored for their: ambition, character and pursuit for excellence. Each recipient proudly accepts the torch that was lit in Brian’s name and inspires others to pursue long term endeavors in his memory.

The Brian E. Wagner Scholarship Fund has bestowed nearly $100,000 towards college tuition costs thus far and eagerly awaits the opportunity to reviewing this year’s applications.
