Applicants sought for Hoffman Estates Citizens Fire Academy
Civilians can train like firefighters by joining the Hoffman Estates Fire Department’s 2024 Citizens Fire Academy.
Participants will complete search and rescue drills, learn CPR, rappel from height, extricate with the Jaws of Life, and more.
Citizens Fire Academy courses will run from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Wednesday evenings starting March 6 through May 8, with a graduation ceremony on May 20.
Participants must be at least 18 years old.
To register, download the application packet at hoffmanestates.org, fill out the forms, and email them to Lt. Thomas J. Zito at thomas.zito@hoffmanestates.org.
