Les Miles' son says he'll play fullback at Nebraska, not LSU
LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) - The son of LSU coach Les Miles says he's going to Nebraska to play his college football in 2017.
Ben Miles, one of the top-rated fullbacks in the nation, announced his pledge on Twitter on Sunday. Miles, who will be a senior this fall at Catholic High in Baton Rouge, picked Nebraska over offers from LSU, Michigan State and Boston College, among others.
The 6-foot-1, 210-pound Miles attended Nebraska spring game in April. Coach Mike Riley has said the fullback would have a more extensive role as his offense evolves at Nebraska. Riley on Sunday tweeted, "Big time news this afternoon out of Louisiana for the #Huskers!"
Manny Miles, Les Miles' other son, is a redshirt freshman quarterback at North Carolina.
