Mideast solutions must be grounded in reality
It's heartbreaking to see so many innocent people killed and families torn apart in the Levant. It's personally heartbreaking, although less so than the actual tragedy of the war, that much of the conversation is centered around whether or not it's justified that civilians in Gaza are killed by Israeli soldiers because it was Hamas who chose for those civilians to be human shields (it isn't justified), or whether or not Israel with a self-deterministic government even has the right to exist (it does).
If the occupying Israeli government were disbanded and every single Israeli citizen were forcibly evacuated from the place of their birth, or the homes they own, what difference would there be from what Israel's grandparents did to the Palestinians? It would be the same sin, in the same land.
I believe solutions need to be grounded in reality, not in idealism, not what User12345 says on TikTok and they need to be based on conditions of today, not 1945. Israel has a right to shoot and kill Hamas combatants ... NOT CIVILIANS. Palestinians have a right to fight back against current Israeli aggression, but NOT to pursue the revenge our shared God forbids.
