Utah women hold off late rally, beat Arizona 66-55

TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - Emily Potter scored 14 points and grabbed 12 rebounds and Utah survived a late challenge to defeat Arizona 60-55, improving to 4-1 in Pac-12 women's basketball on Friday.

The Utes (12-4) remained in the five-team cluster behind unbeaten and 10th-ranked Arizona State, and won their seventh in eight games.

LaBrittney Jones, who had missed all three 3-point attempts this season, banged down two in a row pulling the Wildcats (10-7, 1-4) to within 58-55 with 1:10 to play.

On the inbounds after her second trey, Jones stole the ball in the paint, but her layup with a minute left was short. Michal Miller had a 3-pointer rim in and out with 14 seconds left and Utah withstood the rally. Jones scored 19 for Arizona.

Paige Crozon added 10 points and 10 rebounds for Utah, which held a 51-33 edge on the boards.
