Central Connecticut players charged with breach of peace

NEW BRITAIN, Conn. (AP) - The two Central Connecticut State football players who have been suspended from Saturday's playoff game at New Hampshire face breach of peace charges stemming from an off-campus party.

Police say quarterback Jacob Dolegala and reserve offensive lineman Dave Cinti were charged with the misdemeanor early Sunday morning along with two other residents of the home near the CCSU campus.

Coach Pete Rossomando would only say Monday that the juniors would miss Saturday's game for an unspecified violation of team policy.

Dolegala, a junior, has thrown for 1,953 yards and 13 touchdowns and rushed for another 212 yards and four TDs in leading Central to an 8-3 record and the school's first appearance in the FCS playoffs.

CCSU won all of their Northeast Conference games after starting the season 0-3.
