5K in Libertyville to benefit township food pantry

The Runner's Edge in Libertyville is hosting the 6th annual Cross Country Challenge 5K at 10 a.m., Friday, Nov. 24, at Adler Park, 1500 N. Milwaukee Ave.

Instead of an entry fee, nonperishable donations for Libertyville Township food pantry will be collected. Donations can be dropped off ahead of time at The Runner's Edge, 524 N. Milwaukee Ave., or brought on race day. Nonperishable food items, paper products, toiletries, diapers and feminine hygiene products are among the items that will be accepted. Checks also can be made out to Libertyville Township food pantry.
