Elk Grove hosting motor oil, paint recycling event

Elk Grove Village and Elk Grove High School are hosting a paint and motor oil recycling event from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, June 9, at 500 W. Elk Grove Blvd.

The event is limited to Elk Grove Village residents. Business items will not be accepted.

Items that will be collected include motor oil, latex and oil paint, and antifreeze.

Items not being accepted include dried paint, spray paint, non-architecture paint, stains, sealants, solvents, leaking containers and household hazard waste such as cleaning materials, pesticides and aerosol cans.
