Grain mostly highert, livestock mixed
CHICAGO (AP) - Grain futures were mostly higher Thursday in early trading on the Chicago Board of Trade.
Wheat for May delivery was 3 cents a bale higher at $4.5240 a bushel; May corn was 2.50 cents higher at $3.7640 bushel; July oats was 1 cent higher at $1.8920 a bushel; while May soybeans lost 2.50 cents to $10.67 a bushel.
Beef lower and pork prices were mixed on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.
June live cattle was .23 cent lower at $1.2298 a pound; May feeder cattle was .13 cent lower at $1.4888 a pound; May lean hogs gained .08 cent to $.7695 a pound.
