Babel back in Premier League at relegation-threatened Fulham

LONDON (AP) - Netherlands forward Ryan Babel is back in the Premier League after securing a move to Fulham from Turkish side Besiktas on a short-term deal.

Babel played for Liverpool from 2007-11, and has since played in Germany, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates and Spain as well as in his native country with boyhood team Ajax.

Fulham will look to the 32-year-old Babel to help keep the team in the Premier League. Fulham is in next-to-last place, five points from safety with 16 games remaining.

Babel, who has signed a contract until the end of the season, said "I definitely have faith that Fulham can stay up. That's one of the reasons that I'm here, to try and help that to happen."
