Wheeling veterans group donates jackets, clothes

A Wheeling veterans group has donated more than 100 winter coats and boxes of men’s clothes to two suburban organizations that help people in need.

Wheeling’s AMVETS Post No. 66 gave six boxes of goods to Midwest Veterans Closet in North Chicago and three boxes to the Captain James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center in North Chicago, the group said in a news release.

The items had been collected as part of a recent clothing drive in the Wheeling area.
