Baseball: McGaha, Stevenson rally past Warren
Robbie McGaha tripled and knocked in 3 runs, and Stevenson's baseball team rallied to beat visiting Warren 7-4 in North Suburban Lake Division action on Thursday.
Stevenson scored 6 runs in the bottom of the sixth to wipe out a 4-1 deficit. Jack Trotter and Dylan Molek each went 2-for-3 for the Patriots.
Winning-pitcher Michael Marchese allowed 2 hits and 1 earned run in his 7 innings. He struck out six and walked two.
Luke Schmitt doubled for Warren, which got RBI from Matt Burch and Ryan Davilla.
Grayslake North 5, Antioch 4: Stefan Davis pitched 5⅓ innings for the win and Danny Yates, the Knights' fourth pitcher, got the final two outs, including a strikeout, to notch the save.
Bobby Krebs had a double for Grayslake North, and Brendan Taskovic was 1-for-3 with 2 RBI.
Ben Gutke had 3 hits, including a double and triple, for Antioch, which spotted the Knights a 5-0 lead before scoring 3 runs in the sixth. Connor Geidner and Thomas Boeh (2-or-3) had RBI singles for the Sequoits.
Grayslake Central 2, Johnsburg 1: Benton Troehler and Sam Ruhlmann knocked in runs for the Rams, who won the nonconference game in the bottom of the eighth.
Starting-pitcher Ruhlmann, Coby Moe, Bryce Gniadek, Griffin Edwards, Brett Whalen and Ray Bradley (win) combined to allow 2 hits and 0 earned runs with 9 strikeouts.
Grant 16, Round Lake 0: Aidan Earl earned his first win, striking out nine in 4 shutout inning, as the Bulldogs won the North Suburban Prairie game.
Jake Wodrich was 1-for-1 and John Kerr went 1-for-2 with 2 RBI for Grant (9-1).
