Will Ex-Hawks factor into NHL playoffs?

Prominent former Blackhawks in the Stanley Cup playoffs:

Player, team Stats

Artemi Panarin, Blue Jackets 27 goals, 55 assists, 82 points

Comment: Panarin, in his third NHL season, set career highs in points, shots on goal (228) and total shot attempts (465). He is a huge reason Columbus went 13-2-2 down the stretch and qualified for the postseason for a second straight year.

Ryan Hartman, Predators 11 goals, 20 assists, 31 points

Comment: Hartman adds to Nashville's already considerable depth at forward. He may not score much in the postseason, but if he draws a penalty at the right time, it could turn a game or a series.

Tommy Wingels, Bruins 9 goals, 8 assists, 17 points

Comment: Wingels has 54 games of postseason experience, including 31 the last two seasons. He'll do plenty of little things that don't show up on the scoresheet for a talented Boston squad.

Antoine Vermette, Ducks 8 goals, 8 assists, 16 points

Comment: Vermette played in 64 games and was a healthy scratch at times this season. He averaged 13:45 TOI, lowest since his 2nd season.

Dustin Byfuglien, Jets 8 goals, 37 assists, 45 points

Comment: Because he didn't score in the first 29 games, Byfuglien finished with a career-low in goals. He's the leader of Winnipeg's defense, though, and might be able to lead the Jets on a deep run.

Michal Kempny, Capitals 3 goals, 7 assists, 10 points

Comment: The Blackhawks traded Kempny to Washington on Feb. 19. He scored 2 goals and had an assist while averaging 16:45 TOI in 22 games.
