Grayslake Central 9, St. Joseph: 6: The visiting Rams jumped out to a 9-2 lead and held on to defeat St. Joseph in Westchester.

Coby Moe struck out 8 over the first four innings, allowing 1 earned run in helping the Rams improve to 9-0 on the season. Junior Eric Sturm fanned 4 allowing no runs over the final two innings.

Offensively for Grayslake Central, Tony Crews, Benton Troehler and Clayton Bloemke all had a pair of hits with Crews driving in 3 runs.

Buffalo Grove 7, Carmel 4: Carmel had 4 errors in the loss.

Glenbrook South 9, Vernon Hills 1: It was a tough day for the Cougars.

Jack Barsczc was on base three times and had a double and an RBI. Tony Brown had 2 hits, including a double. Danny Wizceb also had a double in the losing effort.
