Seigle Foundation awards grants to housing-related charities

The Seigle Foundation has announced nearly $200,000 in grants to local housing-related charities.

Grants were awarded to the Community Crisis Center, Marklund Children’s Home, Fellowship Housing Corp., CASA Kane County, Consumer Credit Counseling Service and Prairie State Legal Services.

The grants were provided to groups dedicated to providing shelter for those experiencing homelessness, the prevention of people becoming unsheltered, affordable housing and related support services.

Founded by Mark and Robin Seigle, the Seigle Foundation focuses on funding organizations involved in housing, food, education and the arts in the Elgin/Dundee area.

Nonprofit organizations serving the Elgin and Dundee communities are eligible to apply. For more information, see SeigleFoundation.org.
