Palatine State of the Village event postponed

Palatine Area Chamber of Commerce officials say Wednesday's annual State of the Village presentation is being postponed to late next month due to record-cold weather that's expected.

Officials said the event, sponsored by the chamber and hosted by Palatine village government, will take place Feb. 27 instead.

Palatine Mayor Jim Schwantz and other officials are scheduled to make presentations. The gathering will be at village hall, 200 E. Wood St. in Palatine. The doors will open at 7:30 a.m., and the State of the Village address will go from 8-9 a.m., followed by a question-and-answer period.
