Counterfeit bills discovered at Des Plaines business

Someone reportedly got change for eight counterfeit $20 bills at a Des Plaines business, police said Friday.

The exchange occurred Thursday night at a business on the 2500 block of East Dempster Street.

The employee who gave the customer change later discovered the $20 bills were fake, police said in a news release.

No other details were available.
