Terre Haute man gets life without parole for killing wife

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (AP) - A Terre Haute man who served 25 years for killing his second wife has been sentenced to life in prison without parole for killing his first wife.

A Vigo County judge sentenced 63-year-old Earl Taylor on Wednesday for the 1975 murder of Kathy Taylor.

Taylor told police in 1975 he came home to find the woman dead in a bathtub with an electric clock radio submerged in the water. However, a forensic pathologist testified Kathy Taylor likely drowned after being held face-down in the bathtub in the couple's rural Vigo County home.

Defense attorney Dennis Majewski told WTHI-TV (http://bit.ly/1o7m8IA ) that he plans to file a motion to correct errors in the case that will address alleged juror misconduct during deliberations

Taylor was convicted of killing his second wife in 1987.
