Input sought on open burning in Lake County

Lake County is seeking input on open burning and landscape waste disposal in unincorporated areas. Visit lakecountyil.gov/openburninginput. A virtual information meeting was held July 13 to discuss possible options and potential next steps. A recording of the meeting is available at www.lakecountyil.gov. The county now is seeking additional feedback through a new survey. Open burning is expected to be discussed Aug. 4, at a joint meeting of the county board's public works, planning and transportation and energy and environment committees.
