Arlington Heights police host child safety seat check March 9
The Arlington Heights Police Department will host a Child Safety Seat Event from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, March 9, at village hall, 33 S. Arlington Heights Road.
Attendees can get their child safety seats checked and properly installed by a trained technician.
Under a new state law that went into effect Jan. 1, children under age 2 must be placed in rear-facing child seats unless they weigh 40 pounds or more or are 40 inches or taller. Older children should be in front-facing seats with a harness.
