Blood drive to support Susan G. Komen Foundation

DreamMaker Design Center in Vernon Hills is hosting a two-day blood drive to support Breast Cancer Awareness Month on Oct. 12 and 13.

The drive, dubbed Pink Drive, is hosted by DreamMaker, as well as the Susan G. Komen Foundation and the American Red Cross. The goal is to raise $25,000 for the foundation and 84 blood donations for the American Red Cross.

To make a financial contribution, visit www.infokomen.org/goto/dreammaker-pink-drive or email Michael@DreamMakerNEChicagoland.com and put "Pledge Form Request" in the subject line.

To donate blood for the drive, schedule an appointment at redcrossblood.org, using the DreamMaker's ZIP code of 60061 and search for the dates Oct. 12-13.
