Police: 1 man dead after shooting in Indianapolis
INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Indianapolis police say a man is dead after an afternoon shooting on the city's north side.
Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers were called Sunday afternoon on a report of a person shot. Police found the victim and he was transported to the hospital in critical condition. He was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
Officers spotted a vehicle matching the description of a car witnesses saw leaving the scene of the shooting. After a vehicle chase, police caught the suspect and took him into custody.
Police say the shooting remains under investigation.
