WILLISTON, N.D. (AP) - The 2016 Babe Ruth World Series for players 13-15 years old wrapped up in Williston over the weekend, with a team from California taking home the crown.

The 25-game tournament began Aug. 13 and ended Saturday at Williston's Aafedt Stadium.

Torrance, California, beat New Jersey-based Atlantic Shore 6-1 to win the title. Torrance was undefeated in six tournament games.

Babe Ruth baseball is for teenagers, and World Series are scheduled for four divisions. Williston hosted the tournament for players 13-15 years old. World Series for other divisions were scheduled this year in Iowa, Massachusetts and Washington state.

Williston also hosted the tournament in 2013.
