Ravine preservation discussion set for Jan. 10

​Restoration of McCormick Ravine is the topic of the next Green Drinks program at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 10, at O'Toole's Libertyville, 412 N. Milwaukee Ave. Ryan London, preservation programs director for Lake Forest Open Lands Association, will discuss the $3.7 million restoration of a unique ecosystem. The agency oversaw the work funded through the federal Great Lakes Fishery and Ecosystem Restoration Project. This multiphase project has reinvigorated and enhanced this natural lakeshore ecosystem. London also will discuss the role of ravines in the Lake Michigan ecosystem. Visit www.greendrinks.org.
