Skull fragments found in Chicago nothing to be scared about
CHICAGO (AP) - The Cook County Medical Examiner's office says the skull fragments found inside a Chicago industrial building this week are nothing to be concerned about.
The medical examiner's office announced Tuesday the 13 fragments were sawed in "a manner consistent" with teaching or an autopsy. Also, the building where they were found Monday was once the home of a supplier of scientific materials and equipment.
The medical examiner's office says doesn't plan to issue any death certificates or do any further studying of the fragments. The fragments will be placed in one casket and buried the next time the office buries other unidentified remains.
