Thorsen, Reinert win in McHenry District 2

Two Republicans scored victories Tuesday night for two District 2 seats on the McHenry County Board.

With all precincts reporting, Jeffrey Thorsen, a former Crystal Lake City Council member appointed to the board in 2015, finished first in a four-person field with 11,809 votes, according to unofficial results.

John Reinert, of Crystal Lake, had 10,587 votes and Democrats Dominique Miller and Jim Roden rounded out the field with 8,628 and 7,663 votes, respectively.

The top two finishers won seats.
