Bartlett issues July 4 fireworks traffic advisory

Bartlett police have issued a traffic advisory for the Bartlett Fourth of July Fireworks Extravaganza on Thursday, July 4, at Apple Orchard Park near the intersection of South Bartlett and Stearns roads.

The fireworks are scheduled to start at 9:30 p.m. and finish about 10 p.m. Drivers near Apple Orchard Park will experience heavy travel congestion and increased travel times.

Vehicles exiting onto South Bartlett Road north of Stearns Road will be directed north toward Devon Avenue. Vehicles exiting onto South Bartlett Road south of Stearns Road will be directed south toward Schick Road.

Vehicles exiting onto Stearns Road west of South Bartlett Road will be directed west toward Route 59. Those exiting onto Stearns Road east of South Bartlett Road will be directed east toward County Farm Road.

Temporary no-parking signs will be posted on residential streets near Apple Orchard Park.
