Batavia
• Marquis M. Welton, 21, of the 3400 block of West Adams Street, Chicago, was charged with obstructing identification and misdemeanor possession of 10 grams to 30 grams of marijuana at 5:18 p.m. Saturday at a gas station on the 1400 block of E. Wilson St., according to police.
Kane County
• A $100 pair of basketball shoes and $45 were stolen between 10 p.m. June 11 and 10:15 a.m. Wednesday from a vehicle on the 5NM800 block of Ravine Drive near St. Charles.
• Four copper grounding bars, valued at $200 each, were reported stolen on Wednesday from cell tower locations along the 5N100 block of Route 25 near St. Charles. Each bar will cost $3,000 to reinstall, the report said.
• A 1987 Lewis University class ring, valued at $1,300, was reported stolen at 2:22 p.m. Thursday from the 900 block of Birchwood Road near Aurora.
• A $150 pair of Ray-Ban sunglasses were stolen from a vehicle on the 42W300 block of Prairie Drive near St. Charles between 11 p.m. June 11 and 2:55 a.m. Wednesday.
