Buffalo Grove Citizens Police Academy begins March 30

Applications are now being accepted for the Buffalo Grove Police Department Citizens Police Academy, which will take place on Wednesday nights for eight weeks beginning March 30.

The academy is free and enrollment - limited to 20 participants - will be on a first come basis. Attendees must be at least 21 years old and pass a background check.

Classes will be held from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Buffalo Grove police station, 46 Raupp Boulevard. The academy will cover a range of law enforcement activities, including K-9, traffic enforcement, firearms, forensics, investigations and SWAT team.
