Sanders rally planned tonight in Summit
Vermont Senator and Democratic presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders will campaign in Summit on Friday to rally supporters before Tuesday's presidential primary in Illinois.
Sanders, fresh off a surprise victory in Michigan, will hold a rally at 8 p.m. at Argo Community High School, 7329 W. 63rd St.
Former secretary of state Hillary Clinton, who grew up in Park Ridge, campaigns tonight in Vernon Hills.
Every presidential candidate has announced stops in Illinois except Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, who is concentrating on his home-state primary the same day as Illinois.'
Businessman Donald Trump and Texas Sen. Ted Cruz both will hold campaign events on Friday. Trump has a rally planned at University of Illinois at Chicago, and Cruz will appear at Republican Party events in Chicago and Rolling Meadows.
Ohio Gov. John Kasich held town halls in Palatine and Lisle on Wednesday.
