Hoffman Estates firefighters vs cops in softball Saturday

Hoffman Estates' finest will square off on the diamond Saturday when the Hoffman Estates Citizen Police Academy Alumni Association hosts its seventh annual Shootz & Ladderz Softball Fundraiser: HEPD vs. HEFD.

This free event is set for 1 p.m. Saturday at Cannon Crossings, 1675 Nicholson Drive. A rain date is set for Saturday, Oct. 19.

In addition to the game, there will be food and beverages for sale, as well as a 50/50 raffle. All proceeds of the 50/50 raffle will be donated to the 100 Club Of Chicago, which provides assistance to the families of first responders who lose their lives in the line of duty.
