No injuries in Mundelein fire
A structure fire in Mundelein Tuesday caused over $200,000 in damages and the displacement of the home's family, the Wauconda Fire District reported.
Crews responded to a call from an alarm company at 1 p.m. to a report of a fire in a home on Russell Road in Mundelein. The crews rescued the family's three dogs and a snake, and quickly extinguished the fire.
No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is still under investigation, but it is believed to be electrical in nature.
