Vehicle collision in Buffalo Grove

An SUV and pickup truck collision Saturday afternoon in Buffalo Grove resulted in a temporary road closure.

A Jeep Grand Cherokee and a Ford F150 collided on W. Half Day Road and Willow Parkway, according to Buffalo Grove Police Department desk officer Will Alvarez. The collision caused the Jeep to flip over, trapping one individual inside.

Rescue crews were able to remove the person from the vehicle. Alvarez said that the on-scene officer reported that all passengers were awake following the crash.

No further information about the status of the passengers is available at this time.

Half Day Road was temporarily shut down following the collision, but has since reopened.
