Rosemont Police put freeze on summer heat with ice cream and a smile
Rosemont | What better way to get to know the Rosemont Police Department than over a frozen treat.
The Cone with a Cop event, hosted by Rosemont McDonald's, on Monday, September 24, at 6150 N. River Road, Officers served over 150 Free Vanilla Cones to many smiling faces, What a great way to bring an end to summer and kick off the fall season.
Dennis Stabile, Owner - Operator, of the Rosemont-based McDonald's franchise, said that taking part in such community-building events help to bridge relationships between residents and the local police force. Stabile says events like these are a great opportunity for residents to come out and enjoy a conversation with the officers and have a few laughs.
So many of the Rosemont Police Force came out to support this event including, Sergeants Joe Balogh and Lyle Richmond , Lieutenants Julio Alvarado and Blake Fiorito, Public Safety Officers Dan Pavela, Francisco Meraz and Frank Carrillo, Auxillary Officer Megan Lees, and all who attended the event to personally meet and greet the community and put a smile on so many faces.
"We are happy to see the community and the local police department enjoying cones and conversation together," Stabile said.
"We are grateful to Sergeant Balogh, who contributed to the coordination of the Cone With A Cop event, and to all the officers who came to the event, helped serve Vanilla Cones, and took pictures with the community members."
