Navy veteran celebrates 96th birthday

Montgomery resident Don Thompson was surprised with a 96th birthday celebration at Grandma's Table Restaurant in Montgomery on Tuesday, Oct. 18.

Friends honored Thompson, a Navy veteran, with a piece of cake with a lighted candle and a chorus of "Happy Birthday" at the October meeting of Aurora Navy League Council 247.
