Authorities: 1 man dead in Indianapolis residence fire

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Authorities say one man is dead following an early morning fire in Indianapolis.

Indianapolis police say the fire occurred Sunday around 4 a.m. on the city's west side. No working smoke alarms were found in the residence.

The man hasn't been identified.

Authorities estimate about $60,000 in total damages and are investigating the cause of the fire.
