Workers at Geneva smoke-vape shop charged with dealing pot

Two workers at a Geneva smoking-supplies shop were charged with dealing cannabis, Geneva police announced Wednesday.

Daniel J. Velasquez, 28, and Kylie Housley, 20, both of the 700 block of Orchard in Aurora, were arrested Tuesday at Buzz Smoke N Vape, 722 E. State St.

Geneva police and the North Central Narcotics Task Force found more than 200 grams of cannabis and 70 cannabis vaping cartridges during a search of the shop, according to police.

Velasquez is charged with manufacturing or delivery of a controlled substance, manufacturing or delivery of cannabis between 30 and 500 grams, and possession of cannabis over 100 grams.

Housley was charged with two counts of manufacturing or delivery of cannabis between 30 and 500 grams.

Both were released from jail Wednesday to await trial.
