Palatine police plan roadside check before St. Patrick's Day
Palatine police will conduct a roadside safety check near Algonquin and Roselle roads from late evening March 13 into early morning March 14.
It's part of a traffic safety campaign being conducted ahead of St. Patrick's Day.
Police also will conduct saturation patrols dedicated to identifying and arresting impaired drivers, as well as strictly enforcing speeding, seat belt and distracted driving violations.
The Illinois "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" and "Click It or Ticket" campaigns are administered by the Illinois Department of Transportation with funds managed by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
