Smashing Pumpkins add second Chicago date

The Smashing Pumpkins have added an extra Chicago date for this summer's "Shiny And Oh So Bright Tour."

The Grammy Award-winning alternative rock band with suburban roots will play a second show at the United Center on Tuesday, Aug. 14. The band's Aug. 13 show is sold out.

Tickets go on sale to the public at 10 a.m. Monday, March 5.

The 36-city tour marks the 30th anniversary of The Smashing Pumpkins, and features founding members Billy Corgan, Jimmy Chamberlin and James Iha. For more information, visit unitedcenter.com or smashingpumpkins.com.
